High School Internship Program
High school students from the Sacramento area work and learn along side some of the area's finest artists in the Sacramento Shakespeare Festival Intern Company program. Our interns work both on and off the stage in acting and technical areas, perform in "The Show before the Show" and attend workshops with our artistic staff in costumes, stagecraft, improvisation, movement and, of course, Shakespeare. Find out if the Intern Program is right for you or your teen.
Goal:
Participation in the high school intern program will help build self-confidence, self-esteem, independence and team skills in a non-competitive atmosphere, and give interns an unparalleled experience in Shakespeare performance and production. Acting Interns will be the performers in The Comedy of Errors pre-show. Technical interns will receive intensive instruction and hands-on experience in all areas of theatre production. All interns will participate in eight workshops including Voice, Movement, Monologues, State Combat and more.
